Pricing FAQ
Do ticket prices include taxes?
Yes. The entrance fee set by Peru’s Ministry of Culture already includes Peru’s general sales tax (IGV). Our booking fee is included in the price shown — nothing hidden.
Is there an extra fee for paying by card or PayPal?
Yes. Card payments (debit or credit) add 3%, and PayPal adds 5%. This is shown as a separate line before you confirm payment — never bundled invisibly into the ticket price.
Can I cancel or get a refund?
Entrance tickets are non-refundable once issued — this is a Peruvian government policy, not ours. Bus and guide add-ons can be cancelled for free up to 48 hours before your visit. (Link to full cancellation policy.)
Can I buy tickets at the entrance gate?
No. Machu Picchu tickets must be booked in advance online — there’s no ticket counter at the gate itself.
How far in advance should I book?
Standard circuits (1B, 1C, 1D, 2A, 2B, 3B, 3D) can often be booked a few weeks out. Huayna Picchu (3A), Machu Picchu Mountain (1A), and the Temple of the Moon (3C) have limited daily capacity and commonly sell out weeks to months ahead, especially in high season (May–August) — book those as early as you can.
What documents do I need for a discount?
See the documents table above — requirements differ for students, children, and Peru/CAN citizens and residents.
